Holland Tunnel Pier 9 and 204

$50M Contract with PANYNJ to demolish remaining sections of the 1930’s built pier 9 and 204 on the NJ River Vent Accessway over top the Holland Tunnel below ground and install two new 1100’ steel pipe pile and precast piers and a 600’, four sided pier wrapping around the Vent Building. Project consists of extracting approximately 2000 existing timber piles, installing 300 each 18 and 24 inch steel pipe piles varying in length of 120 to 280LF, (9) drilled in 14inch rock sockets, approximately 5000 CY of cast in place concrete, railings, underwater netting, fenders, electric, hardscaping and landscaping. Construction started June 2017.
