Trevcon Construction Co. worked for the Hudson River Park Trust on the Bloomfield to West 14th Street Waterfront Structures project, a waterfront esplanade designed by Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers. The structure was constructed along the Hudson River adjacent to the site of the recently demolished Pier 54 and the future Pier 55. The 9 month $6.5 million project consisted of the installation of precast concrete piles, followed by precast caps and planks and finally a cast-in-place topping slab. Unique to the project is the incorporation of an existing historical arch which became a permanent part of the newly constructed structure. The completed esplanade serves as the entryway to the future Pier 55.
