In 2006, work for the West Midtown Ferry Terminal at 38th Street was completed. To help support the new Midtown Ferry Terminal, Trevcon Construction Co., Inc. was contracted to drive new 24-inch pipe piles with a new deck on top of them, in addition to reinforcing the existing deck with pile encasements. Trevcon was also tasked to design-build new barges and canopies to operate as the ferry’s six slips.
