Pier 17 & Tin Building

Pier 17 Tin Building at South Street Seaport

Pier 17 lies outboard from the historic Tin building (so named due to its Tin roof). Both Pier 17 and the Tin building were built at the turn of the 20th century and served as the hub for the Fulton Fish Market. Trevcon rebuilt the substructure for both Pier 17 and the Tin building with innovative construction techniques that included accessing the Tin building platform from a crane trestle extending in from the East River.
