Trevcon continues engineering for the Sunrise Wind triple cable landfall project. The cables will carry 924 megawatts of power from the largest windfarm in US waters to date. This is an EPC (engineer, procure, construct) project where Trevcon is subcontracted to Jan De Nul, a Belgian offshore contractor performing the inter array work. Trevcon’s scope involves pulling two power cores and one fiber optic line through conduits under the sea floor to the Beach near Smith Point Long Island. Engineering and final process plans are scheduled to be complete by early 2025 spring. Due to permitting restriction work will take place in the winter of 2025-2026.
