Test Piles: Working under an $18 million contract directly for the State of New York Thruway Authority, Trevcon installed seven test piles at the site of the New Bridge to provide data for the joint-venture teams competing for the $4 billion design-build bid in August of 2012. Trevcon drove five 48-inch diameter piles, one 96-inch diameter pile, and one 120-inch diameter pile. Each pile had a wall thickness of two inches and a length of 300 ft.

Trestle: To support the future maintenance of the bridge Trevcon built a 1,400 ft long curved trestle extending from the west side of the river. The pier includes 5 landing piers for maintenance vessels.
