Marine & Underwater Construction

Marine Construction is Trevcon’s Core competency. Extensive marine experience has positioned our professional team to handle large demanding marine projects in both design-bid-build and design-build contractual delivery formats.

Trevcon has a large and active inland diving division that works hand-in-hand with the crews in marine the construction division. Trevcon’s depth and breadth of knowledge in the underwater environment enables us to be versatile in response to challenging conditions. In addition, Trevcon completes its projects with minimal interruption to your current operations and the local ecology.

Trevcon takes great pride in restoring coastal marine habitats and integrating environmental objectives into the construction of new waterfront structures.

Offshore Services

As an IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) member, Trevcon has extensive experience in the marine support for offshore cable landfall. This includes the marine support for the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation of the offshore conduits, and the marine support for the power cable pull through. Due to environmental permits, this work takes place in the winter in the North Atlantic. The exposed conditions, the proximity to the surf zone, and the winter conditions, dictate intense preparation and ‘out of the box’ engineering solutions to minimize the time and cost.

T-Port

T-PORT is a 6-acre facility located adjacent to the newly dredged, 50-ft shipping channel on the Arthur Kill in Elizabeth, NJ. Trevcon is developing the facility to provide access to waterborne vessels operated by Trevcon and our clients for loading, trans-loading and unloading materials to and from trucks and barges. It can also be used for the mobilization of crews and equipment to various construction sites in the NY/NJ Metropolitan area.

Our facility offers a 450 foot long high load capacity wharf as well as a complete enclosed full-service shop for the servicing and repair of all types of construction equipment. We also have 1000 LF of shoreline with deep water that can handle two barges wide if needed. T-Port also operates a NJDEP licensed Class B recycling facility which offers concrete recycling, as well as material transfers such as asphalt, soil, and timber.

The six acre facility has ample room for fabrication and storage of construction materials and equipment. The development of this site will give Trevcon the ability to provide full service to the heavy marine construction industry.
